Electronic Log Book with GPS

This Bachelor's Thesis made opportunity to design, build and program a device that uses global positioning system to simplify the way of logging rides in the companies. The core of whole application is sixteen bit microcontroller from PIC24F family, which receives information (based on NMEA communication protocol) about the location and time from the GPS module, for further processing. Device displays information about journey on the LCD display. The USB interface is placed in the device for persistent journey records on the USB discs. The visualization of collected data is illustrative. It's using application Google Earth and KML files to log journeys directly on the map.

Analysis of knowledge of selected universities in the field of crisis management

Crisis management is topical issue, that is important to know and university students should have a basic overview of general events. Crisis management means a set of crisis management activities focused on the analysis and evaluation of security risks and the planning, organization, implementation and control of activities carried out in connection with crisis preparedness and resolution, or critical infrastructure protecture. Pursuant to Act No. 240/2000 Coll., On Crisis Management, amending certain acts, as amended i tis the coordinating body in preparation for crisis situations of the Ministry of the Interior. The aim of the diploma thesis is to analyze the knowledge of students of selected universities in the field of crisis management and compare their knowledge within individual fields. The theoretical part describes the basic issues of crisis management with basic concepts of crisis management. Furthermore, the basic components of the intefrated rescue systém and their activities are listed here. In the practical part, i tis examined through statistical methods, in the formo f a questionnaire, what students have knowledge and whether the COVID-19 pandemic has helped to improve it. This work should be an objective assessment of knowlinge in crisis management and whether the COVID-19 pandemic has helped to improve that knowledge. Utilizing this work could bring a lot of good for the work of health professionals who train first aid. In the context of first aid, the topic of crisis management could appear, about which no one has been interested so far and had no idea what it was.

The cereals growing in integrated farming system

This bachelor thesis was focused on the evaluating of the potential which comes with wheat cultivation, due to its involvement in the integrated plant breeding system. The literature review is based on the common legislative characteristics of the integrated cultivation system of the wheat, general cultivation and the integrated protection of wheat against harmful factors. Another part deals with the growing and cultivating measures used throughout the vegetation season of winter wheat. Last but not least, the bachelor thesis was focused on the agrotechnical cultivation of the winter wheat and the influencing factors. The result of this thesis is dedicated to the summary of acquired facts about the cultivation of winter wheat in connection with the complexity of its placement to the integrated plant growing systems.

The development trend of railway stations

Dating back to the 1830s, railways were developed in Britain. The history of railway stations began with a transit station in which the reception area and the hall were separate buildings. This division of stations into two buildings, of which one is primarily representative and the other serves for engineering purposes remained the only architectural option for a long time and has not disappeared to this day. Soon after, they became a major mode of public transportation in many places across the world and served communities. Passenger stations became a new building type and gateways to rail lines connecting cities. Railway stations entered a new age again in the late 20th century after the introduction of high-speed trains. As evident mostly in Europe (and of course China), many new stations were built, and the old ones were renovated to efficiently serve the system. Once different transportation modes were unconnected, but today the trend is towards an integrated system. Many railway stations form an interchange between modes of transportation that may include buses, air services, metros, taxi, private cars, and so forth. Therefore the intermodal concept reflects a new form of service. In addition to serving intercity rail lines, the concept emphasizes linkages to other transportation systems, the expansion of service across borders, and rail networks linking cities and their suburbs. As a consequence, new forms of station type are required. International, airport, and metro or light rail stations represent different types emerging as distinctive building patterns for railway stations impacted by the intermodal concept.

Výzkum integrovaného systému nakládání s odpady a nových podpůrných nástrojů pro jeho zavedení v podmínkách České republiky

Projekt se zabývá výzkumem a vývojem integrovaného nakládání s odpady v České republice kompatibilního s EU a vytvořením návrhu nových nástrojů (informační, organizační, legislativní, technologické, dobrovolné). Cílem zavedení nástrojů je podpora předcházení vzniku odpadů a snížení měrné produkce odpadů nezávisle na úrovní ekonomického růstu, včetně jeho ověření v rámci výzkumu a vývoje regionálního integrovaného systému nakládání s odpady v pilotním území. Etapa 3: Rozšířit stávající soustavu indikátorů POH o indikátory pro sledování efektivnosti jednotlivých prvků sběru, svozu a nakládání s odpady, systém monitorování a vyhodnocování . Etapa 4: Navrhnout integrovaný systém OH v konkrétní lokalitě. Etapa 5: Realizace integrovaného regionální systému OH v dané lokalitě. Obsah sdělení je obsažen v přílohách. Návrh integrovaného systému nakládání s bioodpady v Moravskoslezském kraji

Vytvoření integrovaného systému nakládání s bioodpady v rámci vybraného regionu v České republice, který by naznačil způsob, jak splnit cíle formulované ve směrnici 1999/31/EC o skládkování odpadu v rámci tohoto regionu (pro účely projektu byl vybrán Moravskoslezský kraj). Výstupy projektu budou přitom formulovány tak, aby mohly představovat vodítko pro aplikaci zkušeností i v ostatních regionech České republiky. Zpráva za rok 2008 obsahuje analýzu legislativního prostředí nakládání s biologicky rozložitelnými odpady (BRO) v ČR, kvantifikaci stávajících zařízení na biologické odstraňování a využití BRO v ČR, podrobnou specifikaci regionu s ohledem na nakládání s BRO, zhodnocení zkušeností ze zahraničí, analýzy dobrých a špatných příkladů praxe, sumarizace a vyhodnocení projektů tříděného sběru BRO komunálního odpadu v obcích a městech ČR. Zabývá se logistikou BRKO (biologicky rozložitelných komunálních odpadů) od původců ke zpracovatelům a předkládá ekonomickou analýzu nakládání s BRKO v ČR.
